You have to teach them the right manners so that they don’t end up hurting their own reputation, or cause people to raise a finger at your parenting skills. Etiquettes Role Play

The world is filled with people who have no sense of talking, eating, walking, etc. Knowing that, it is important that you teach your kids some etiquette. This can be achieved easily by doing role plays with your teens. You can teach them how to talk to strangers, act in a class, behave in a professional environment, etc. Teen role play exercise will come in handy in their present everyday lives, as well as in their future.

Silverware Party

A large number of children do not have etiquettes of eating. This may seem okay as long as they are in the comfort of their homes.

However, it isn’t. As soon as they leave the home and come across different people, they are judging over everything they do and how they do it. Eating and table manners are two of the most common activities that get judged during the first meeting. Knowing that, it is advised that you have a silverware party at your house, where you teach your kids how each utensil is used.

Telephone Manners

Being casual is the way to go in the modern age and there’s nothing wrong with that, but when it comes to phone calls, you have to teach your children how to properly answer it. If a call is received from an unknown number, then it’s your kids’ duty to inquire first about the person who has called, then ask them who they’d like to talk to, etc. Proper greetings and goodbye are also a part of this exercise as they make a good first impression on anyone who is calling your phone.

Gifts

Make your teenagers realize that money is not everything. It’s the thought that counts. There’s no better way to achieve it than by receiving and giving gifts. You should create a tradition at home where every work of a person is appreciated and rewarded with some sort of gift. This gift shouldn’t be too expensive so that the kids can continue on this habit for a long time.
